The objective of the AICTE approved 2-year full-time residential programme is to train students to become excellent and effective managers who are involved in decision making with broad strategic perspective.The programme considers management as an integrated process and it helps students develop a global perspective and respond effectively to the changes in the economic, technological, cultural and political environment.
The programme has a 2-tier structure. The first year is committed to develop the business fundamentals through compulsory courses spanning over different areas of management studies. The second year offers the following five clusters with ten courses in each. Students are required to specialise in any one of these clusters by selecting any eight of the ten courses offered in the chosen cluster. In addition, they are required to select six courses from the remaining four clusters.

The programme comprises six terms. Each term is of three months' duration. Each course is of 3 credits unless otherwise stated. After the completion of the third term, students are required to undergo “Summer Internship” for about ten weeks. It is equivalent to 6 credits. Furthermore, they are to do two major projects during the second and third terms of their course work. The reports of all the projects will be evaluated by a team of experts and each project will carry 3 credits.
