Eligibility Criteria

Graduation with minimum of 50% marks in any discipline from a University recognized by the UGC or the AICTE. Emphasis is also placed upon the candidate’s performance during the GD and PI sessions as conducted by the Calcutta Business School.

Candidates appearing for their Final Year Bachelor's Degree exams in 2019 can also apply if they complete their graduation requirements by June 2019 and submit their graduation results by the 30th of September 2019.

Candidates are required to produce a valid CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, ATMA, JEMAT scorecard.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview sessions based on their past academic records and CAT / XAT / CMAT / MAT / GMAT / ATMA / JEMAT scores. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at a city of their choice as specified by the candidate in their application form. The final selection will be based upon the candidate’s performance in Group Discussion, Personal Interview and past academic record. Along with these, work experience and other achievements will also be taken into account while offering them an admission to this course.

The institute has no active reservation policy at this time.

Important Dates And Other Useful Information

The Information Brochure and the ONLINE Admission Application Form has now been made available. Group Discussion, Personal Interview and other selection processes will commence from November 2018. The last date for the payment of the 1st Installment of Fees will be within one month of receiving the Admission Offer Letters or by June 15, 2019 (whichever comes first). No admission confirmation will be granted unless full amount of the 1st Installment of Fees is received by the Institute. The institute is expected to conduct an Engagement Program / Foundation Program in the month of June 2019. The dates for the same will be informed in the due course of time. The PGDM Session for the coming year is scheduled to begin on June 17, 2019.


To academically good students, Calcutta Business School offers financial assistance based on the result of their graduation degree. To be eligible to avail the financial assistance the graduation degree percentage is calculated as per the provisions of the university from where the student has graduated.

The amount of financial assistance so provided is equally divided into 6 installments and the same (financial assistance for a term) is reduced from the tuition fee payable by the student in each term.

In case, at the time of admission the final graduation result is not submitted by the candidate the eligibility for financial assistance will be calculated only after the final result is declared. No provisional financial assistance will be allowed under any circumstances. All such candidates who are appearing for the final year graduate degree exams in 2019 must submit the final mark-sheet latest by September 30th 2019.


As a reward for students’ hard work and efforts, CBS offers TWO scholarships of Rs. 25,000 each to all students securing the First and Second positions in each of the first, second and third trimesters.


Four (4) students will be selected for Tuition Waiver (TW) scholarships at the time of their entering the PGDM programme. The students selected for TW scholarships would have to meet the following two requirements:

a. 75% or more marks at the undergraduate level.

b. 85 percentile and above score in CAT 2018/XAT 2019.

The selected students would be required to pay 40% of the applicable Course Fees. Continuation of TW scholarship will depend on the academic performance (CGPA of 7 or more throughout) of the student.
