Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, Kerala, organized ‘Ayudh and Stress Management Programme’ on Thursday, 4th July 2019 in Calcutta Business School. The programme was conducted by Prof. Niseema, who is the Programme coordinator for youth empowerment and has been conducting institutional programmes for schools all over Eastern India. The main focus of Amrita Youth Empowerment Programme is to develop global leadership and self-empowerment in socially conscious persons. The movement is better known as’ Ayudh’.
The stress management programme by the same organization is a unique blend of yoga and meditation and Prof Niseema explained the scientifically proven benefits of both yoga and meditation. This combined programme is termed as IAM ( Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique) and she encouraged students of CBS to practice it for 20 mins everyday to reap the amazing benefits of a healthy body and a sound mind.
The session lasted for nearly 2.5 hours and both students and professors took part in the integrated meditation technique. It was an enjoyable afternoon and was different from the rest of the learning sessions that students usually undergo. At the end of the seesion many students volunteered to join the Ayudh Movement in Kolkata and filled in the registration form for the same.
