International Study Tour

For 2 consecutive years 2017 and 2018, Calcutta Business School visited Taylor’s University in Malaysia for a Study Tour along with professors of the college.The purpose of the visit was to explore Malaysian economy, businesses, culture and life style through class room lectures, visits to the industries and local places.The students visited local cultural and heritage places, trade centres, various malls and the Ministry of International Trade and Industries (MITI).

There were class room sessions on Islamic Finance and its impact on Malaysia’s growth vis-a-vis the world economy; the cultural diversity of Malaysian organizations; growth and development of Malaysian economy and entrepreneurial activities and prospects in Malaysia. At the end, the students of Calcutta Business School had made a comparative study on doing business in Malaysia vs India, where in they compared both the countries on the following aspects:

  • Financial system
  • Cultural dimensions
  • Business environment
  • Entrepreneurial development
  • Economic growth and future
